Bodhi School’s Family Buddhism Class
In effort to allow students to better understand the teachings of Buddhism and have an opportunity to practice proper Buddhist etiquette, Texas Bodhi School held their annual “Family Buddhism Class” on Sunday, Nov. 20th in the Grant Hall at Jade Buddha Temple. Lessons were held once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
Texas Buddhist Association’s Successful 2016 Annual Bazaar
The 36th annual temple bazaar was held on Saturday Nov 19 starting at 10am. The bazaar offered a variety of mouthwatering foods such as hand rolls, noodles, vermicelli, braised delicacies, porridge, BBQ, etc.

Texas Buddhist Association held a Buddha’s Birthday and Buddha Bathing Dharma Assembly in the Grand Hall of Jade Buddha Temple in celebration of Buddha’s Birthday on May 15, Sunday, at 10:00 am. Also a ceremony for “Taking Refugee in Three Jewels and Observing Five Precepts” was held in the afternoon.

The three winners for the 2013 "American Bodhi Center Scholarship" are Jamie Duong, Nahid Ferdous, and Jacob Smith. Two of them will attend Texas A&M University, and one will study at The University of Texas at Austin.
