2016 American Bodhi Center Scholarship Award Ceremony

On May 19, The American Bodhi Center (ABC) awarded its 2016 Scholarship at the Waller Independent School District (WISD) Awards Ceremony at Waller High School. Out of 52 applicants, four graduating seniors were selected to receive awards of $1000 each. The winners were Ann I. Leo-Lin, Jessica Hernandez Ortiz, Gloria Benitez, and Bria-Azaria Elliott.

Waller High Dr. Brian Marrell hosted the event. Ven. 圓福, Ven. 慧度, Ven. 修道, and three volunteers represented ABC. WISD Superintendent Mr. Danny Twardowski also attended the ceremony.

Thanks to the generosity of our members, the ABC has been awarding scholarships to high school seniors from WISD since 2011.

The ABC views the scholarship as a way to give back to the community that has welcomed us so warmly. We hope to continue strengthening our friendship with our neighbors in Waller County for generations to come.
